A Flare Affair

A moment for this perfect pretty red dress. Don't you have those days when you try on a dress and you feel its simply made only for you. I felt all the feels when it came to this outfit. Its bold, sexy, fierce and romantic. Its definitely going to be saved in my wardrobe for a date night. The best part about this dress is- The frills & The fit. The flared sleeves makes the arms look more toned and slimmer. While the straight fit of the dress ensures that it looks great on all body types. The fabric of the dress is very comfortable to move around in,  its designed in woven rayon, which hugs well on the figure.

I paired my outfit with my forever21 nude heels, Michael Kors sling bag, Marc Jacobs watch & H&M bracelet & of course white flowers (Because I am such a romantic diva)

Taking on the streets in collaboration with Vogue and Me

The above images are proof that women above a particular size can look stunning in the latest trends, like this one - Box pleated striped skirt from Vogue and Me. Over the time we have had all types of skirts - short, minis and maxis parading around in the previous seasons, Iv realised the length of skirts and styles are changing especially in 2015, which made me try out a very different style of skirt. This eye catching skirt from Vogue & Me is perfect for a day as well for a night look. I personally believe in breaking all the plus size fashion No-No's,  going out of my comfort zone and trying a flared silhouette - is one of them.

I styled this outfit keeping simplicity in mind. On a rainy day I took on the streets and wandered around posing imagining the streets of Paris. I paired this skirt with a black off shoulder top from Zara, Clutch from H&M and red heels from H&M too.

For Plus size woman a first good step towards building a flattering wardrobe is to learn which shapes and styles work best for you & experimenting with them.

I was personally surprised with how flattering this flared and bold skirt looked. If you are loving it as well you can head over to Vogue and Me and check out their bold and chic collection.

Warm Crease Smokey Eye

No matter how much I try new looks. Warms & Neutrals will always be my go to colours. This is a very awaited beauty post, since I was waiting for my new Coastal Scents palette to come, I received it yesterday & I couldn't stop playing with it all day long.

One look that has been trending recently is the 'cut crease' and I definitely wanted to try it out since I have so many blending shade options in this palette.

These colours compliment the Indian skin tone so well. After I was done creating my neutral eye look, I kept the face makeup also very warm. Slightly bronzed cheeks and a blush nude lip. Also I said goodbye to my adored highlighter. I thought of keeping this look quite matte. Which is a good surprise once in a while.

The Eyes
- I started with a clean base, primed with my Mac concealer.

-I went in with the colour No.3 with a big fluffy brush. This is a perfect 'camel' tone transition shade.

-After the blending, I took the colour No.4 on a small pencil brush and started deepening the crease.

-I went back & forth with colour no.3 & 4 Blending it really well to give it that smokey effect.

- I then took colour No.1 & 2 on a flat brush and placed it on the lid, very close to the lash line.

- To finish off, I smoked out my lower lash line with colour no.4. Applied false Ardell Lashes and my Mac Gel Liner.

The Cheeks
-I used my Essence blush in - 40 Natural Beauty

Lips -
I mixed two Lip shades - Clinique Lipstick No.12 Blushing Nude & Rimmel 240 Undressed.

The Palette
Here is a link to where I purchased my palette from, I would definitely recommend  investing in a palette if you are a beginner or trying to experiment with new shades. The shadows in the palette are surprisingly very pigmented and blend well too.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, If you do try this look out let me know your feedback. Also if you have any suggestions for more beauty looks you would like to see, leave it in the comments below.

Weekend Stroll

Summer is still in full swing with no traces of monsoon. While everyone around me is carrying off shorts and tanks, its completely normal to feel out of place. I believe plus size woman can absolutely wear anything but for me there is a love hate relationship with 'shorts' its been a personal struggle to overcome this very trend.

The first time I publicly wore shorts was 2 years back in Goa. It dint make me feel awkward or insecure back then because everyone around dressed up unique and that's the place which makes you feel quite liberated. But its different when I tried to wear it in the city. The thought of being judged over shorts sounds ridiculous but it was terrifying. Last week a follower asked me ''How to pull off shorts this season with a heavier lower body''.I then immediately opened my wardrobe, removed my trusted  pair of black shorts (Yes the same Goa ones) and decided to find out the answer to  - how you can actually pull off shorts this season. If I am going to be a leader I better be a badass one & the results are pretty damn good.

While I still gravitate towards skirts and maxis, I am slowly incorporating more pair's of shorts in my wardrobe.

What I Wore-
Black cotton shorts - M&S
Black floral off shoulder top - Forever 21
Necklace - Claire's
Shoes- Aldo

Above all, No mater what bothers you most about your body, Self confidence & overcoming personal struggles are the number one rule of fashion.

So this Summer go all out & free those legs!
