Black & Purple Dramatic Makeup Look

Hey beauties!
I am back with an another makeup look inspired by Shaanxo  , I saw her tutorial on this grunge dramatic look & thought to myself it was high time I attempted my greatest makeup fear - The smokey eye, & I was pretty astonished with the results, Smokey eyes can be quite challenging & scary, I have tried it in the past & ended up with 'panda eyes' but the more I attempted the look it got better & as its said out there the key to a perfect smokey eye is blending & I couldn't agree more. Instead of going for an entire black eye lid I added transition shades & hints of maroon & purple to give it more dimension & colour. I used the balm palette as well as the Elf cosmetics flawless eyeshadow palette for this look. On my lid I used the balm cosmetics matte black colour called  'Serious' & in the crease I used 'Sultry' brown from the same palette as a transition shade. After I was done blending out both the brown and the black I went over to the purples, I slowly started adding a light and a dark shade of purple from the Elf cosmetics palette & blended it out with a large fluffy blending brush. The look was completed with the help of my trusted classic wingled eyeliner with 4 coats of my favourite mascara, this look indeed needed false lashes but I ran out of them (#BeautyBloggerProblems) 'Hence the infinite amount of mascara'  - The specific products are mentioned below.
The highlight of this look is definitely the eyes and lips - I wore my favourite MAC rebel lipstick. The eyes and the lips compliment each other so well especially because they have the same shades & colour scheme going on .
For my skin I used my everyday foundation routine
Hope you guys enjoyed this post !
Have a great day & thanks for reading
