Lace & Leather

Last few days to go in Hong Kong & I am using the most out of the beautiful sceneries in my latest fashion post. It was a struggle to shoot & post this one. From the windy weather challenge to a memory card failure, Mehak.Bhagwani - my amazing photographer & I made it happen. I had selected this outfit the other day to wear it for a dinner. I am absolutely in love with this colour scheme - black, gold & burgundy. The skirt reminds of Italian red wine, It's flirty & feminine. My new leather jacket has become one of my favourites to pair it with  every other outfit. I paired this look with a simple deep-v neck crop top. I realised  that I am such a big fan of black & gold since most of my accessories are of those colours. I love how the top-half of my outfit is black & grungy while the second half is sweet & sophisticated. The entire outfit & colours complement each other so well!

Makeup Look - Peach Perfection

For today's post I decided to change things a little. I admit I am a complete red lip addict  & I have been wearing it continuously in my last two posts. But now I have this sudden need to feel more glowy & fresh. I think I am finally ready to say good-bye to winter. I was sitting down to do my every day makeup & had some extra time (fortunately) so I pulled out my makeup pouch & decided to get ready like the sun is shining bright outside (even though it was quite cold & gloomy). Bright makeup is an instant mood changer. Suprisingly, my face looked so different & new I had to get my camera out & start clicking. My peach lipstick was definitely the star in this look. It's by Rimmel rouge/rossetto from the Kate Moss collection. I have had this lipstick since 2 years now & it's definitely a staple during spring/summer seasons. The NO liner & MORE mascara look is my new favourite as it saves time & makes your makeup look softer. My skin has a tendency to lack moisture sometimes so this is where my highlighter comes to the rescue. It's the best way to fake a dewy skin. In order to achieve a professional grade to this look, I usually go with the flow (like the fishes do) & you can clearly see that with my eye makeup. I did write in my Autumn Edit post that the one makeup -must I need to master is : smoky eye ( I could have done better but at least I din't end up with raccoon eyes) I have been purchasing so many new products recently & the amount of pleasure I've had in trying each of them out was undeniably satisfying. More product reviews will be up on the blog soon!

Joy is the best makeup. But a little lipstick is a close runner-up.

Love Thy Curves - Casual OOTD

Hey Beauties! Hope you guys had a great weekend!

I was so keen on posting this look earlier but unfortunately my laptop crashed. At first I did act a little crazy & dramatic but I did enjoy a tech-free week. Sometimes these little things can be quite important. Anyway, I went casual for this fashion look. It always takes me a couple of hours to do my hair & makeup & decide my looks before my shoots (I wish I had a glam squad) but for this one I was like HEY! There is nothing better than a casual outfit with a twist. I paired this look with my faded blue jeans, a simple white tee & added my patent black leather jacket. It's a perfect look on- the-go. My green aviators definitely helped me to bring the entire look together.

My thighs are so sexy they can't stop touching each other ;)

The Winter Edit

I am not sure if you have realised it yet - I am a happy winter baby. People usually like to sleep-in during Winters but I am completely opposite during this season. I wake up as early as I can. There is something about winter mornings, It's really cold, but the sun shining through gives the right amount of heat. Second opposite change during winter is my breakfast. I am not a breakfast person, but how can you say no to hot black tea & cinnamon rolls. (There is a really cute bakery under my home my mom always picks up cute buns & rolls on her way home) They surely do make my day.

Skin care:  As the months get cooler, my skin needs to adjust with the weather. These are some products that help my skin.
It's a must for me to switch from day creams to oils & creamy moisturizers.  The Body Shop's skincare is worth raving about. They have so many varieties which are meant for different skin types. My favourite is the Vitamin E skincare collection. I have a moisturizer which I use during the day & an overnight Vitamin E oil which comes in a dropper that prevents it from getting all messy. I apply this oil before I sleep and my skin just feels the best next morning. The oil is non-greasy which is really weird to say about an oil based product but it does absorb really fast like your skin just drank it all off.  Another skincare must is my Elizabeth Arden serum. I apply this right before i use the moisturizer. This serum is from the Intervene Collection. It's very lightweight & leaves the skin soft for hours.
I do give a little love to my body as well. After a hot bath I immediately run to my favourite cocoa butter body moisturiser. Hands down this is the best I have come across. I have tried several body butters but I always come back to this one & the cherry on top is that you always smell like chocolate. For those dry lips I run to my fancy EOS lip balm. Trust me the hype about this is real.

Makeup : This Autumn I did try a bolder look when it came to makeup, so I decided to keep it natural  with windblown cheeks, a cat eye and a nude lip.

May this year be filled with love, laughter, peace
and always remember to love what you see in the mirror.
Happy 2015!
