Winter Wonderland : Christmas Edition

HAPPY HOLIDAYS BEAUTIES!!
I am so excited for this post! I was waiting to shoot this look all month & I am finally posting it. I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by. Nevertheless it's Xmas, the most wonderful time of the year. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I am here in HongKong with my family for the holidays. The city here is tripping on lights. On Xmas eve I walked with the entire carnival with my sneakers on, heard carols, ate cookies & clicked lots of pictures. But its Xmas, I had to glam up for a special post! I wore an all white dress from Forever New. I found these gorgeous pair of red shoes from H&M because sometimes you just have to buy a pair of overpriced killer shoes that look amazing but hurt your feet. My bow clutch is from Accessorize. I had a lovely time filled with good food, good company and a few surprises ;)
Hope you guys had an amazing Xmas. Always sparkle, Shimmer & Shine with joy.

My Travel Diary

Hello Beauties!

Sorry for being MIA. But I am back after a week long break & in an another country! HONG-KONG!
I am here to celebrating the holidays with my family. I can't get over how amazing the weather is here. Partially I am excited just to get my winter wardrobe out. I find my air ticket worth the money only if my take offs & landings give me some serious butterflies in my tummy. Hands down that's the best  part of my travel. But there are a couple more of my experiences which I am going to share in this post .

Let's start with the part I dislike the most, it is definitely the- wait. With all the excitement that I go through in the flight, Its the long painful wait in the car & at the airport that makes me feel annoyed. I have been listening to audio books lately to pass the time. I am definitely not that person who reads books. But thanks to audio books life is easier  I was listening to 'Gone Girl', a complete thriller fiction, that gave me goosebumps & kept me awake the entire time.

Travel Wardrobe: Yes I have heard it before & I say the same now - You gotta travel comfy. I chose to wear all black with my maroon neck wrap, white sneakers & a big black bag.

Skin care: I am not going to lie - once upon a time I was a complete skincare junkie. The only routine I could ever keep up was 'skincare' but recently I have been pretty laid-back (which is not good) but when it comes to long flights I cannot emphasize how important it is to keep your skin hydrated & relaxed. The air in the flight is constantly recycled which leaves your skin looking dead at the end. I even try to put on a good face mask & watch some movies. I was lucky enough to have a night flight with fewer people judging me with my scary mask on. Beauty samples are definitely worth keeping for travels as they come so handy.

Makeup: During travels makeup is the last thing that I am worried about. But just to keep up with my fabulous self (lol) I do put on some. A light CC cream, blush & a bright pink lip can instantly make you look glowy & awake.

It's been two days here & I am having such a great time! Stay Tuned for more exciting posts.

The adventure awaits! Put down the map & get wonderfully lost!

Passion For Perfumes - My Top 3 Picks

I thought I would do something different today on the blog. I have been going on about my beauty & fashion diaries but let's explore something different today - my love for these three Perfumes.
(Backstory) It all began since very young I was brought up in Dubai till age 13 & perfumes in Dubai are quite affordable, especially the tester versions. Mini me had quite a passion for them. I owned all the popular ones & even stole some of my dad's collection. My taste for perfumes changes according to my mood - sweet or sour, mint, fruity or harsh depends how I am feeling but at the moment I am going to rave about my top 3 ones.

Gucci Flora. I could describe this perfume as waking up on a beautiful magical garden. The name  states what it smells like. The perfume itself is inspired by the princesses of the past, present &  future. It is a tribute to the Gucci's flora pattern . Deep Story. The perfume is a part of the garden collection. The collection consist of 5 different perfumes to resemble a bouquet of flowers. My favorite one is called 'Gracious Tuberose' . The scent is derived from violet leaves & peaches. Two very different components mixed together to create this happy scent. It is very youthful, rich & feminine.

Marc Jacobs Oh Lola! This perfume can definitely get you in a flirtatious mood! It is my staple summer scent. It is pretty sweet but it's quite lightheaded as well. It has notes of sweet Raspberry & vanilla. A moment for its packaging please! It is by far the best packaging I have seen on any perfume which is pretty much expected from top notch designers. Marc Jacobs perfumes are quite unique & each of them has its own personality.

Chance Chanel. Yes! I did save the best for last. This is the perfume I am going to grow old with. This perfume makes me feel like an ultimate Strong, Sophisticated & Successful lady & trust me if a perfume can make you feel like that you need to get your hands on it. The scent is very fresh & flowery. It literally stays on you forever. It's like a sweet scent hugging you all day long. I usually love trying out different perfumes but this one is worth repurchasing.

Perfume is the indispencible complement to the personality of women, The finishing touch of a dress-

The Grunge Effect

The more I tell myself to wear a different colour, the more I, get drawn back to my happy colour-Black! I finally got around to do a shoot for my favorite outfit. I spotted this wrap crop top online from www.koovs.com & I instantly knew I could pair it up with my long black slit skirt from H&M. I was never really eager for crop tops thanks to my yummy tummy but hey, we are here to follow trends & only good things come out of your comfort zones. Since it's Winter I paired this look with my Marks & Spencer boots which gave it the complete grunge look. I kept it pretty simple with my makeup & accessories. It's a bold cat eye with a bright pink lip. For my accessories I went for a black and gold theme. The clutch is from Accessorize, bangles are a sweet gift from my friend from Paris & necklace is from Blur. I have to mention my hair! I was pretty stunned by how bright & brown my hair look after my hair colour. It sure gives that extra edge.

Hope you guys enjoyed my new fashion find!
